Vaikunta Ekadasi 2026 TTD Tickets: Dates & Booking

TTD Vaikunta Ekadasi 2026 tickets online booking has not opened yet: as of 30 September 2026, TTD has not announced the dates or ticket releases. The festival is expected around 20 December 2026, with a 10-day Vaikunta Dwara Darshan window. Last cycle, TTD ran a free e-DIP lottery for the first three days, then released Rs 300 and SRIVANI tickets.

This guide is dated on purpose, because many pages titled "Vaikunta Ekadasi 2026" actually describe the festival held from 30 December 2025 to 8 January 2026, so their dates and quotas do not apply to December 2026. Below you will find what is confirmed, what is only expected, how Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) issued tickets last time, and a checklist so you are ready the day the booking window opens.

Vaikunta Ekadasi 2026 at Tirumala: what TTD has confirmed so far

Vaikuntha Ekadashi falls on the Shukla Ekadashi of the Dhanu (Margashirsha) month, which lands somewhere between 16 December and 13 January on the Gregorian calendar. At the Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala, it is the only time the Vaikunta Dvaram is opened for devotees, and in recent years TTD has kept it open for ten days of darshan.

Confirmed

Only the calendar rule is settled; the ten-day Vaikunta Dwara window is TTD's recent practice but is not yet confirmed for December 2026. TTD has published nothing about the December 2026 festival yet.

Expected (not official)

Panchang listings place the Ekadashi tithi from late on 19 December to the evening of 20 December 2026, so the main day is expected to be 20 December. Our TTD calendar 2026 uses the same expected date.

Not yet known

Registration windows, ticket quotas, release times, which darshans are cancelled and any local quota will only be known when TTD issues its press release.

Two festivals called "2026": don't mix up the dates

Because the festival can fall on either side of New Year (and sometimes twice in one calendar year), two different cycles get labelled "2026". The last one, often called Mukkoti Ekadasi in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, fell on 30 December 2025, and TTD held Vaikunta Dwara Darshan from 30 December 2025 to 8 January 2026. The next one falls in December 2026.

That is why you will see pages quoting "8 lakh tokens" or a number of darshan hours for "2026": those figures belong to the December 2025 to January 2026 festival. Treat them as history, not as the plan for December 2026.

A quick test for any page you read: if it mentions 30 December 2025, 8 January 2026, or registration dates in late November 2025, it is describing the last cycle. A page about the December 2026 festival should say that TTD has not yet announced dates, or quote a TTD release issued in late 2026.

How TTD issued Vaikunta Dwara Darshan tickets last time (official timeline)

TTD announced the 2025-26 scheme in a press release on 25 November 2025. It is the best template we have for December 2026, but TTD may change any part of it. For year-round seva and special darshan options, see our TTD seva and special darshan booking guide.

If TTD kept last cycle's 35-day lead time for an expected 20 December 2026 start, the announcement would come around mid-November 2026 (our calculation, not a TTD date). Some guides expect it in late November or early December instead. Neither is official, so watch for TTD's release from early November.

e-DIP registration and results

The Electronic Dip (e-DIP) is a free online lottery. Last cycle, darshan on the first three days (30 December to 1 January) was only for e-DIP token holders. Devotees registered during the five-day window and results were declared the next day.

Rs 300 SED and SRIVANI release

Special Entry Darshan (Rs 300) and SRIVANI Trust donor tickets were not valid on the first three days. For the remaining seven days, TTD released 15,000 Rs 300 tickets and 1,000 SRIVANI tickets per day. We have not verified the SRIVANI donation amount for 2026, so check it on the official portal.

Local quota tokens

For the last three days (6 to 8 January), TTD set aside 4,500 tokens per day for residents of Tirupati, Chandragiri and Renigunta, and 500 per day for Tirumala residents. These were released online on 10 December 2025.

Which ticket works on which day

This matrix uses last cycle's rules, labelled as such. TTD may change them for December 2026.

The practical reading: if you miss the e-DIP, days 4 to 10 still give you three routes, a paid ticket, a donor ticket or the free Sarva Darshan queue through the Vaikuntam Queue Complex.

How to book TTD Vaikunta Ekadasi tickets online, step by step

All bookings go through the TTD official booking portal at ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in. This site is an independent guide and does not sell tickets. The steps below are generic; follow the exact screens on the portal when the window opens. Expect heavy traffic at release times, so keep your pilgrim details ready to paste and avoid refreshing payment pages.

Before the window opens

• Create or test your login on ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in with the mobile number you will use (login is by OTP).
• Keep a valid photo ID ready for every pilgrim, with the number typed exactly as printed.
• Decide who in your group will register, so you do not create duplicate entries.
• Watch TTD's official announcements from early November 2026.

e-DIP registration

1. Log in during the registration window announced by TTD.
2. Choose the Vaikunta Dwara Darshan e-DIP option and your preferred date among the first three days, if offered.
3. Enter pilgrim names, ages and ID details, then submit.
4. Check results on the announced date; if selected, download the ticket and carry the same ID.

Rs 300 SED booking

1. Log in a few minutes before the announced release time.
2. Pick a date from the later days of the window and the number of pilgrims.
3. Enter pilgrim and ID details, pay online and download the ticket.

Last cycle, the SRIVANI release came five hours before the Rs 300 release on the same day, so the two did not clash.

What is cancelled during the 10 days

Last cycle, TTD cancelled all privilege darshans and all arjitha sevas for the full ten days, and cancelled Rs 300, SRIVANI and other special darshans on the first three days. The festival period also includes the next-day rituals (Vaikunta Dwadasi / Chakra Snanam), which fall inside the festival period. Plan travel with that in mind.

Your odds, crowds and safety: lessons from recent festivals

Demand is far higher than supply. According to Deccan Chronicle, the 2025-26 e-DIP drew about 24.05 lakh registrations for about 1.76 lakh slots on the first three days, roughly a 1 in 14 chance. TTD expected 7.0 to 7.5 lakh devotees over the ten days.

Safety matters as much as odds. In January 2025, a stampede near Vaikunta Dwara Darshan token counters in Tirupati killed six devotees. For the following festival, TTD allotted the first three days through the online e-DIP. Do not travel to Tirupati hoping for counter tokens unless TTD announces them, and follow police and TTD instructions in the queues.

What to do now: a planning checklist for December 2026

• Set a reminder to check TTD's announcements from early November 2026.
• Register for the e-DIP on day one of the window; registering early does not improve odds in a lottery, but it avoids last-minute site load.
• Have a plan B for days 4 to 10: a Rs 300 ticket, a SRIVANI ticket, or the free Sarva Darshan queue.
• Book rooms in Tirumala or Tirupati as soon as your date is fixed; the festival is one of the busiest periods of the year.
• Carry the same ID used in the booking, and allow long waits in the queue.

Darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Vaikunta Ekadasi comes once a year. Know last cycle's rules, wait for TTD's official release, and book only on the official portal.
