Not every way to see Lord Venkateswara is sold online, and the first mistake many pilgrims make is looking for a ticket that does not exist on the portal. Here is how the main options work as of 2026:

Before You Start: What to Keep Ready

Release mornings are decided in minutes. Everything you type during the rush is a chance to make a mistake, so prepare the day before:

• A working TTD account linked to a mobile number that receives SMS. Log in once the day before to confirm the password and OTP work.
• Pilgrim details in a note: full name exactly as on the ID, age, gender, and ID number for everyone. Aadhaar is the safest ID to use.
• A payment method that will not bounce: UPI with enough balance and daily limit, or a card with online transactions enabled. Have a backup method ready.
• Two date choices: a first-choice date and a flexible fallback. Weekdays and non-festival months are far easier than weekends and Brahmotsavam weeks.

TTD Darshan Booking Step by Step

Screens are updated from time to time, but the booking flow on the official portal, ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in, has followed the same sequence through 2026.

Step 1: Open the official portal or app

Type the address yourself or use the official app from your phone's app store. Do not follow links from forwarded messages or search ads; look-alike sites collect money and issue nothing. The only official booking domain is ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in.

Step 2: Log in with mobile OTP

Enter your registered mobile number and the OTP. First-time users register with name, mobile number and email and verify the OTP. If the OTP does not arrive, wait a couple of minutes before requesting another; repeated requests can lock the attempt for a while.

Step 3: Choose the darshan type

From the online services menu choose Special Entry Darshan for the Rs 300 ticket. Other options such as special darshan for senior citizens appear only when their quota is open.

Step 4: Select date and time slot

A calendar shows availability. Green dates have slots, dates that are full show as unavailable, and dates whose batch has not been released yet stay greyed out. Pick the date, then the time slot. Step 5: Add pilgrim details

Payment Failed or Money Debited Without a Ticket

This is the most stressful moment in any TTD darshan booking, and the natural reaction, paying again immediately, is often the wrong one. Work through it in this order:

1. Check your bookings first. Log in and open your booking history. A payment that looked failed on the bank page sometimes completes on TTD's side a minute later, and the ticket is already there.
2. If UPI shows "pending", wait. Pending UPI payments usually resolve either way within minutes. Paying again while one is pending can leave you with two debits.
3. If money was debited and no ticket appears, note the transaction reference, date and time. Failed transactions where the ticket was not generated are normally reversed to the source account automatically; third-party guides commonly report a window of about five to ten working days, depending on the bank.
4. Rebook only if the slot is still available, and preferably with a different payment method, once you are sure no ticket was issued.
5. If the refund does not arrive, raise it with TTD through the portal's help options or TTD's call centre (155257), quoting the transaction reference, and with your bank at the same time.
