Sri Vari Thomala Seva:
This is the second of all the daily sevas in Tirumala which will be performed after Suprabhatam.
The Thomala Seva Details:
Thomala means “garlands”. Lord venkateswara will be decorated with garlands and flowers. The main temple along with the deity will be adorned with beautiful flowers. After the decoration, the drums are played and the sound of it can be heard throughout the seven hills.
The beauty of lord Venkateswara seen under the lighted torch along with the fragrance of beautiful flowers that were bought from the hidden village and the beat of handy bells should be seen at least once in a life time.
Thomala Seva Timings:
Though this is considered as daily seva, the pilgrims can participate only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. On the remaining days this seva takes place in ekantham (Temple authorities are present).
This daily seva’s in Tirupathi starts from 3.30 A.M and lasts half an hour (4.00 A.M). The reporting time is 3.00 A.M.
Thomala Seva Ticket Cost:
The ticket cost is around Rs 220/- per head and 2 Laddus will be given along with the ticket. It is better to book the tickets in advance through online. The relatives and family members of the TTD employees can get the tickets through recommendation without any advance booking. The Vijaya Bank also offers the tickets along with the TTD offices which are present in almost all districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana .
